Post Script

P.S. I have changed my blog name to Mrs T's corner. It makes me think of a cosy corner, with a comfortable armchair where you can sit to look out a big white window and watch the world go by. Complete with a snuggly warm blanket and a hot cup of tea... or chocolate if you prefer. This is the place where I picture blogging all my life adventures from, hopefully I can have this corner once we have found an apartment to live in.

Turns out there is also a blog called Mr T's corner... haha

A new beginning

It has been 9 days since Mr T and I set foot in London. It took us 7 bags, a 14 hour plane ride, a 4 hour transit and another 7 hour plane ride to finally get us here. We've had really nice weather (except for the odd showers that pop out of nowhere) and London really is beautiful. With so many things to see, to do, to eat, to smell, I'm almost scared to blink in fear that I might miss something!

We haven't had much chance to explore London, been busy with apartment hunting and sorting out basic admin things. Hopefully once we have settled in we can venture out more. Can't wait!

Weekend Wear

This is an outfit I would wear on a weekend, perfect for this miserable Sydney weather.

Polyvore is fun, but it ain't healthy for my shopping addiction

Retail Therapy

I'm really loving the animal print trend at the moment, so much so that I bought 3 pairs of animal print flats from Love Couture. To be fair they were having a $10 off all flats deal, so each pair cost me $9.95! Bargain! I've only worn the leopard print pair once and honestly they are not the most comfortable shoes but for the price I guess I can't complain. I'm curious to see whether they hold up and whether I can break them in. If you are interested in getting them the one thing that I would strongly advise is to try them on. The sizing is a bit strange, I had to get one pair in size 8 (which is my usual size), one pair in size 9 and one in size 10.

I also picked up this cute long sleeve romper from TEMT

Also some knitwear from ChicABooti (the mint green one - I'm obsessed with this colour!) and Target (the brown one)

This necklace I got from Pigeonhole. I love how dainty and delicate it is and that you can wear the two separately or together.

I've been on the hunt for a pair of flat riding boots. I wanted it to be plain with a simple buckle detail. I saw this pair at Betts on sale from $199.99 down to $49.99! I couldn't pass it up even if they were a half size too big. I think a pair of thick socks should solve the problem.

Lastly I've been in love with these Revlon colorburst lip butters, a friend of my sister got them for me from the US. In Australia I've only seen them in a chemist at Carousel Shopping Centre in Cannington retailing at $22.95! I think in the US they range from $8-$12 USD. The price difference is ridiculous :(

I hope you are all enjoying Easter! Have a safe and wonderful break :)

Market time!

I went to the market this past weekend and a few weekend before that, managed to pick up a few things. The first and second dress I got from my first trip to the market for $10 each. This particular stall I got it from had loads and loads of pretty dresses and after my first trip there I badly wanted to go back to see what else I could find. I was so excited to go back, but when I got there I’ve found out they’ve jacked up the price to $15/dress. Still bought a few things but felt ripped off :(

Anyway enjoy the haul (a word of warning: it’s picture heavy!)

This top has bees on them!! Adorable!

I wasn’t sure about getting the peach maxi dress above; but I needed another piece for the 3 for $20 deal (I got the blue dress below and the colourful polka dot blouse with the deal). The fit of the dress is rather awkward on me, but I fell in love with the colour, the dots and stripes. Maybe I’ll cut the dress shorter, not sure what I’m going to do with it yet.

I love this dress! The colour makes me happy and the pleated skirt is pretty :) The top part is rather loose on me though (as you can see from the picture of my back), but I’m planning to wear this with a top underneath anyway so I don’t think it matters too much. I also think it looks nice unbuttoned at the top.

The black and white hounds tooth dress and the green dress are both from the stall I previously mentioned, I paid $30 for both. I first saw the green dress on a hanger being held by this girl and thought ‘oooo how pretty is that colour! I want it!’ To my delight she put back the dress and I snatched it off the rack straight away. The 2 top buttons’ middle part have fallen off though :( but I don’t think it’s that obvious and I can always replace the buttons, no biggies…

Finally got through it all. I’m going to make myself a cup of hot tea now since it’s so cold here! It’s meant to be summer!! Maybe we’ll get to experience an ‘almost’ white Christmas ^^ (wishful thinking)
